Firewire card for Dell Optiplex GX 280?

I need to add a firewire port to a DELL Optiplex GX280 (running Windows XP Professional) so that I can connect with an Acomdata external hard drive. Can someone please recommned a firewire adaptor/card that will be compatible with my system?

I was told by someone else that a PCI Express card would not work in this machine. So I purchased a "generc" 3-port PCI 1394a card and installed it. So far so good.
