Hey, I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm building homes for
Nightlife, and I was wondering if anyone knew the garage specs? Looks
to me like the cars are 4 spaces wife. But how deep are those tile
blocks? Guess I have check out some cars in-game to find out how big
to make the garages.

To me, it looks like the garage/driveway is 5 squares wide and 8 squares
deep

Also, does anyone know if there's a max number of cars you can have?
And will you need one of these "drive up slabs" for each car?

I think that might be an exercise in futility, building them before you
even know how big to make them. Why not just wait a couple of weeks and
not have to rebuild?

Common sense says you would have to have the slab for each car. Also, I
would imagine that the power of your computer would have a great deal to
do with whether you could have more than one car on a lot. I have a
hunch mine will slow to a crawl with more than one. That looks like a
pretty memory intensive object to me.

Well, I'm doing the same thing (at least, adjusting my houses to make sure I
have room for a car/garage). Sometimes anticipation is more fun than the
real thing

Mine is flying along at max detail, so... I've checked other cars in
the game, and they appear to be 6x3 squares. By extrapolating from the
screenshots I've estimated the slabs are 8x4 and the garage doors 4.
Garages make nice second story terasses :)

I just extrapolated the angles and lines, and it seems you're right.
You get a cookie, hehe :)

Hehe, wait until the taxes come for the thing or when you have to pay
at the gasstation ;o) Or when you have to find a parkingspace.

Not necessarily. If the car's just parked there not doing anything, then
it's just a plain/static/non-animated object. If anything, large pools
(with the constant water animation) are what slow my machine down
tremendously.

Personally, I'm more concerned with how Maxis has implemented that "see the
neighbourhood lots from your own" thing.

Personally, I want GTA scale but with Sims detail. :p
