APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 2 weeks, at most

BUDGET RANGE: 700$ (including taxes/rebates)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, coding

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, sound card

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, but if you find it cheaper on another, I'm fine with that

PARTS PREFERENCES: NVidia GPU

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1024x768 - 1280x1024

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Here's the current build I have, it's about 20$ over budget and I would like it to come down. All I need is a case, power supply, motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, and a harddrive. Also, if you could build a better PC with 700$, please tell me which parts to swap out!

Nvidia is not competitive with ATI currently. If you must have NVidia, then you aren't going to need a crossfire board

I just saw the BP500U review at Hardware Secrets. I'm surprised, I was sure Basiqs were junk. I still wouldn't bet on any of the other Basiqs unless reviewed.

techspot...I think that was where I read it, did a recent review on that psu also. It's been "revamped/redone" since they first came out. It's a diff. psu now all together.
