I back my file with Windows xp (.BKF) but showing empty file

Hello,
when i tried to restore my back u saved on Windows Xp & trying to open in Windows 7 by restore process but it is showing empty file , i had already downloaded x32 http://www.microsoft.com/download/ [...] x?id=18924
but still not working , any help from folks greatly appriated.Looking for asap solution
