Tomorrow I will be going to the Micro Center to get my MOBO and CPU the rest of the parts I will be ordering online. Want to also thank everyone who helped me here. :)

I will be using parts from my current build such as, Cosmos S case, ABS/Tagan BZ800 800W PSU and my 3 HDD (two of them will be in raid 0)

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366

ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58

G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Prolimatech Mega Shadow Deluxe Black Edition CPU Cooler

Tuniq TX-2 Cooling Thermal Compound

Arctic Silver ACN-60ML (2-PC-SET) Thermal material Remover & Surface Purifier

I still haven’t decided what fans to go with for the CPU cooler, but here are the two that I’m trying to select from. People are saying that GentleTyphoon has the best DBA to CFM ratio, but “Scythe DFS123812-2000” pulls about 40 more CFM. I have 7 “Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F” fans in my PC doing 63.7 CFM at 28.0 dBA.

Scythe DFS123812-2000 120mm Case Fan

Scythe GentleTyphoon D1225C12B4AP-14 120mm Case Fan (50CFM)

I also ordered some sand paper for the CPU cooler. I am planning to place this order today, (Sunday) that way I will have everything by the end of the week so I can start assembling. I also will be getting a new GPU once the new ATI cards are out. I really hope to get this PC to 4Ghz as this was one of my goals when getting the parts together. Gaming will be the primary role of this PC.
Please comment.

Thanks.

You are spending $570 on the MB and CPU? I don't think X58 makes much sense now except for top end rigs.

You would do better to get this:

The OP is buying from Microcenter, so the cost is $450 (without taxes). Do you still recommend the i7 860? He can get the i7 860 and Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4P for $366 (without taxes) roughly, which might be the OP's best option.

I think so. The performance difference in games, even hardcore RTS, is going to be very minor. He would also save a little on RAM.

Probably it boils down to how much he's going to spend on graphics. I'm guessing it won't be more than $3-400, so X58 isn't needed.

Well I just got back from Micro Center With the i7 920 B0 CPU and P6T Deluxe V2 MOBO. I never been inside the store before and I was absolutely amazed with the selection they have! The rest I will be ordering online today, so if anyone have any last minute suggestions, please let me know :)

I'm getting some last minute feed back from other forums, and here is what people are suggesting: To take this RAM over the G.Skill. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820227381 Its 7-7-7-24 insted of 9-9-9-24 for only $25 more. I think its a great deal, the only BIG concurn that I have is the RAM voltage. The Max volts for P6T is 1.6v but mostly all 1600mhz RAm is 1.65v including this one that I linked. Will this be a problem?

Thanks

Buy it off Amazon for $114... It is the best RAM for the money, IMO... It is what I use and highly recommend.

You are okay with the voltage... It is a bigger concern on higher voltage on the CPU but it is within specs, so you are okay!!

Tecmo34 are you talking about the RAM that I linked in my last post the OCZ? or the G Skill?

Yes it was at that price a few weeks ago, but Amazon now has it at $159.99 unfortunely. :(

Thanks... I haven't checked in a few days so didn't realize price went up. It seems like when ever "we" recommend parts the prices go up... I feel like I need to be receiving a commision or something... LOL :D

Well as of 1am this morning I had placed my order. :) I decided to go with the G skill RAMl thats in my original post, and I went with 2 Scythe DFS123812-2000 fans. Its a 1-3 day delivery and according to newegg its already been shipped. The heatsink I ordered from heatsinkfactory, and just sent them an email asking for an update.

Again thank you EVERYONE for the help. I will be sure to post pictures when the rig is done.

Thanks
