Do I need a better PSU.

Hi everyone.

recently my PC just restarts itself, when i plug in a usb device.

the question is do I need a better power supply? One with more watts?

my current power supply is OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition ~125 Watt
XFX Radeon HD 6870 ~ 500Watt
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula motherboard
Corsair CMX8GX3M4A1600C9 XMS3 4x2gb
Seagate 1TB Serial ATA HD
Sony Optiarc 24X DVDRW SATA
Cooler Master HAF 922M ATX ~ which has 3 fans
Corsair Hydro Series H80

At any given time i have 4 usb slots occupied.

Unless there are other factors, your PSU is not the problem. 700W should be pleanty of power. The 6870 doesn't draw 500W, more like 315W at load. http://www.techspot.com/review/325-amd-radeon-6870/page10.html

Have you tried different USB plugs? Perhaps you need to add a USB hub.

Could be a grounding issue with the usb plugs. Does it happen when you plug into the MB?
