where does windows XP searches for drivers
Windows 7 Looks in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
By default, the DevicePath value specifies the %SystemRoot%\INF directory.

So where does windows XP searches for drivers, I looked in the same place but came up empty!
