I have Gigabyte 9600 gt silent (without cooler)
and it works on 92-95 C temperature.
It works fine, but is strange....

is that idle temp or temp while doing 3d intensive program?

Idle temp, tested with the NVIDIA tool.
not gaming .
IT works okey,,. im under VISTA but also in linux is the same. With the newest drivers.

honestly that temp is abnormally high for idle temp. that kind of temp will shorten your card lifespan. this is the problem with silent cooling. to make the cooling process done correctly you must have very good airflow in your case. try opening your side case for better air flow then see the idle temp

i can try..but it is not the best...a lot of waste will enter the CPU ...the cooler...
you mean trying to open it for an hour or something like this

it's probably your program malfuntioning coz that can not be real , 9600 gt's can't even go to 70 c while gaming otherwise they crash.

I'm talking about the original 9600 gt here, idk what the silent 9600 gt is , so sorry
