Hi,
I am getting a 0xc0000005 error message when I attempt to open files ending wps in my Documents folder. I can open others in the folder. Also, get the error message when I attempt to open Works word processor.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to solve the problem

You may have to reinstall the "Works" application, or you can windows restore to date when you did not have the problem.

0xc0000005 = Access_Violation.

Basically, an application had a significant memory error, which is causing it to crash. Most common application error on the planet...

Odds are, the application that is trying to open that file extension can't for some reason. Either use a different program, or open the file within the program itself.
