4GB only showing when 6GB is installed

I have WIN7 64-bit with 6GB of corsair xms3 ram running at 1600. According to my computer it says I have a total of 4094. In the bios it says I have a total of 6000 something. Does anyone know why the computer is only using 4gb of total ram?

are you sure it's 64-bit

open msconfig and check advance options in the boot.ini tab. Make sure /maxmem is unchecked.
