Sup guys, have a couple of quick questions, maybe I'm overreacting, but it seems that my Lite-On iHAS424 DVD writer performs read very slow, installation of program/games just feels sluggish. And takes a long time.

System Setup:
ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX
PHENOM II 955 BLACK
8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1666 CAS 8
CRUCIAL M4 64GB SATA III OS DRIVE (IN SATA III PORT 0)
WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB 7200 SATA III STORAGE DRIVE (IN SATA III PORT1)
LITE-ON IHAS424 DVD WRITER IN (jMicron SATA II PORT 1) <------------ SHOULD I MOVE THIS TO SATA III PORT 2??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The jMicron controlled sata ports are SATA II, of which I understand should NOT bottleneck DVD performance? But I am not certain. Windows installed driver shows as standard Microsoft CDROM driver. Lite-On website does not have any downloadable driver/firmware of this particular drive.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing problems with this setup, as to why the drive is performing slow? Also any recommendations to a benchmark software I can run to determine exactly what spec my drive is functioning at in windows 7 x64?
