Im currentley debating between this chipset and the 790gx. But in reviews iv read the only real improvment I can see is the USB 3 6 GB sata controllers.

But to answer yoru question basically, you wil average around 30 fps on COD with low settings, What else are you going to be using your pc for ?

Good question.
I am planning a Phenom II X4 system and have am wondering if today's onboard/integrated graphics are on-par/better than my nVidia 6600GT in my current system for FPS and RTS games (TF2, C&C Series, etc.) at moderate to high settings.

So whats up with 790GX vs. 890GX?

790GX is the top dog of the previous generation but didn't come with integrated graphics (I think), 890GX is the top dog of this generation and it basically does everything the 790 did except add native SATA 3 (6GBp/s) support.
