Case and Motherboard Problem

Hi new builder here, I have this motherboard:

Anyways, I am attempting to place it on this case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119068

When I connect put my whole build together, my computer fans start running for 1 second, then the whole system shuts off.

I decided to place the mobo with the CPU on top of cardboard just to see if the case was the problem. Turns out that while ontop of the cardboard, the system turns on without any problems...
Anyways, since just from this I am assuming the case is the problem, what is recommended I should do in order for the case not to cause the board to short circuit?
Any input is appreciated

  1. Did you install the posts correctly? If not, then the motherboards is shorting out. Make sure that no post has been installed where there isn't a corresponding hole in the motherboard.
