as you can see i currently have a total of 1gb of memory consist of 2x512mb memory placed on slot 1 & slot 3 on the mother board to activated the dual-channel feature, my question is if i want to add more memory let's say 2Gb consist of 2x1Gb memory on slot 2 & slot 4, can i still get the dual-channel feature ON?

In other words, if i were to use 2 twin memory but different in memory size, can i still have the dual-channel ON?

Thanks alot.

Yes you can. I have 2x1GB + 2x512MB on Asus P5B MoBo and it works in dual channel mode.

so can it still work if the additional memory is different brand (slot 2 & slot 4 have different memory brand) ?

Your RAM is DDR2-800 and is also known as PC6400 (or PC2-6400). If the additional RAM has the "6400" in its name it will work.
If you will get RAM with different speed but supported by your MoBo, it will work but will default to the lower RAM speed.

OK Then, so all in all the dual-channel feature can still work as long as the dual-channel slot is filled with the same or twin memory?
