IMO the case isn't enough for the system, I have a TT V9 with my rig and the space is too limited for me.

for the tv tuner, you may want to wait

Ceton Multi-Channel Cable TV Card
they say that they will be coming out with a Quad cable card tuner (this is so you can view the encrypted channels like comedy central) for retail (the 6 card tuner will be OEM only)

Is this supposed to be strictly a HTPC, or are you planning on gaming on it as well? Please edit your post to follow the format layed out in the link provided by Why_Me. IMO you've gone the wrong direction with this build, especially if it's a HTPC. We'll be able to offer better assistance once you edit your thread to follow the "How to ask for new build advice" format.

Hi thanks all for replies, I have been in hospital with lil one, hence the reason for not replying to my own thread.

Right, I'm in need of buying PC, as my current laptop is on its way out, and I use it for my own business, I am wanting to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak, and buy a system that will be a kick ass HTPC, but also allow me to sit in my study, with just a monitor on the desk, and my wireless/bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I'm an electrician, and have already, some time ago, wired my house with RJ45 cabling, and have a VGA cable running under house from where the lounge in to my study. The keyboard and mouse will work fine from the study to the lounge. So, long story short, I want my business to pay for this PC, but basically want it sitting in my lounge, in an Amp type case, so that it doesnt look like a PC....but will be playing all my music, movies, and pictures, and TV through it.

Also, whats the best operating system gonna be, I'm using Vista now, and like it, but dunno if Windows 7 will be the way to go yet, and if so....32 or 64?

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 1 month from now roughly

BUDGET RANGE: region of $3000 NZ

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: HTPC, and hom business work. Games - yes, but not overclocking, extreme graphics type ones

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers,

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: really not sure - although I will be in Australia in a month and believe that parts will be cheaper there, then her in NZ

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: New Zealand, but as stated, Australia might be a cheaper option

PARTS PREFERENCES: I like Intel over AMD, but thats from what I've read over the years, and always had Intel, do like the Thermaltake DH 102 type case, although I do take into account what someone has already said....might be too small, any better suggestions - like the idea of it havng a small screen, even if not touch screen, so that I can see what's going on, without having to turn on TV ( for playing music for example).

OVERCLOCKING: Dunno, dont think so, a bit of a novice with that

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Same as above

MONITOR RESOLUTION: my 50 inch Plasma...full HD

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Needs to be able to do good dolby, theatre sound, and encoding on the fly...want kick ass ound and picture quality, and speed, blu ray burning, and obviously, want PC not to be too noisy...do-able?
