I have a gateway ML6714 that needs a new mother board. Is there a generic one i can put in it?

If it's a laptop, the answer is no. Check ebay or pricewatch. They are rather expensive, and sometimes it's better to buy a new pc and transfer your old hardrive files to the new system, or have someone do it for you.

Thanks..I was afraid of that. They run anywhere between $200 - $300, so its not worth it. The laptop is only 2 years old !!! Thanks
