Hello,
I recently lost my audio so I went to the mfg site to download the audio driver (ac97). I also downloaded the realtec hd audio driver. I have a regular desk top with one hard drive.
When I rebooted it now says its a raid unit, instead of the regular hard drive.
Any idea how to get it back to the original config. I tried booting with the xp home cd and it would not work becase it says its a raid unit
Thanks

You can disable the raid setting in the bios. Your bios settings must have changed. The raid may also have "ide" as an optional setting, which works fine with a single sata drive. To enter the bios, use either the "del" key or the f key listed on the post screen. The drive settings may be somewhere in the left sections, except for some asus bios, which are different.
