Monitor Goes blank after IP Traffic Filter device fires

I've been experiencing this for just the last few days. I can't figure out what might have changed on the PC, I don't think I changed any settings or software.

For some reason the monitor goes black, without a device reset as far as I can tell, after the event message "IP Traffic Device Filter successfully sent a start control".

I originally thought the problem was with a Google updater, the an iPod device update, but I've disabled both of those. This is the last message I seem to see every time...

Any thoughts? Much appreciated!

Windows restore to date before the error occured. Disabling isn't going to help, if one of those updates affected something unrelated.

Unfortunately I didn't have "restore" active. Also, I would like to understand how to fix the issue at hand. Thank you
