Ars690-m1 how do i turn off on board sound

im getting conflicts ive just installed a cmi 8738 soundcard in to my machine which runs windows 7 and now my computer shuts down then reboots help please the sound is working its just annoying

Disable it in the bios, check your bios manual, however, it should be really straight forward, something like "chipset options" then "onboard audio". Change this to disabled.
