Shut off the PSU when not using PC?

Greetings, first time builder here.

I just managed to finish building my first PC yesterday and have not run into any issues as of yet. My main question however has to do with the PSU. (COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RSA00-80GAD3-US 1000W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD )

My question is, should I shut off the PSU when the computer is shut off and not in use. I'm not very familiar with the maintenance / care of PSU's so any advice would be greatly accepted.

You mean like every night? No, that's not necessary. I shut it off if I know I'm not using it for a couple of days though, and I unplug the power cord too when I'm leaving home for a longer period.

Personally, overnight, not needed, going away for a few days unplug from wall. You never know when you can get an electrical spike.
