Quad Core Requirements...

I'm terribly sorry if this is a repeat question, but I didn't seem to find quite what I'm looking for anywhere on here...

Basically I heard that Quad cores require more RAM to run, or some type of special RAM? Is that true? Are there any special requirements for Quad over Dual?

I'm basically trying to decide between a Quad and Dual core, but I'm really leaning toward the Quads. I know alot about other computer hardware, but Quads is something I havent really learned much about yet. Thanks for any help...

There is no special requirement for a Quad core CPU except obviously a motherboard that supports it.

Depending on which CPU yuou are looking at and also which operating system you intend to run - then memory might be an issue.

Vista & Windows 7 you really need to be looking at 3gb for the 32 bit version and 4+gb for the 64 bit version.
