Been reading a little here and there about building my own rig.I pretty much understand pc hardware and software functions. So I'm not totally in the dark, but lack some experience in building a pc.

Deli ma: The last 2 PCs I have bought have been Dells ,XPS 400 and 710. But yesterday I went to look for a new PC over at there site. Looking at the XPS 730x.But found out that it is no longer being sold.

So the big question is,on a scale of 1 to 10,10 being hardest. How difficult is it to build a PC. Thanks

In my opinion, the part that is far harder (and more fun) is picking out the parts and the people on this forum will help you with that. I would recommending just reading over a recently published online guide or a simple book on building computers and keep it handy as you assemble it.

Wow ! that was fast reply. I have removed/installed video cards, sound cards, ram, fans ect. But never a MB or prossesor.
I will read and learn from you all for a while then start asking the big questions.

BTW ,I know what the BIOS are for. But a question that has me confused and maybe someone could answer. Are the BIOS preinstalled or is it on a disk. Thanks
