Yeah it will work but its a waste of the 8x/8x crossfire capability of the 790X board as buying an ATI equivilant would allow you to add a second in crossfire in a year or two when you need more graphics power.

well i was going to get a 4870 1gig will that be good for now and i will get another one like in a year
