OK -this is the score... have brought and replaced my original 250w PSU (300w peak...?!) with an 'ezcool ambiance 80+' 600w PSU -to power my new ATI nvidia HD 4780 graphics card...

1st question- hardware manager has not recognized any new hardware.... is this normal?

2nd) the g' card unit is hot/ very hot -is this normal?

3rd) what do i need to do next to fully install the card... IE software updates etc (my monitor display has reverted to low res'....),

-as you can probably tell i am a complete noob when it comes to hardware etc so please reply in layman's terms....

....many thanks

1st of : It is supposed to be hot. As long as the fans works, it should be ok.

2nd of : Try uninstalling any video adapters from your device manager, then reboot. After the restart, it should ask you the cd. Follow your card manual.

This should do it, let us know if you have any other problems.
