Having additional 5870 adds much more heat...

The card is top and bottom of each other with almost no gap between the heat fan...

the temperature is around 60 for the top and full load is about 70.. is that ok for the gc?

bottom one is fine.

70 C is perfectly fine for a 5870 under load. If it was approaching 95 C (which is when the card starts to throttle), then I'd be concerned.

My 5870 CF setup heats up the bottoms card about 5-10C more than the top card, but if you have good airflow you will be fine, I have yet to see my cards' fans go past 37% even under full load for many minutes. These things are dead quiet, and idle very low temps and load temps are also excellent.

Your cards temps are fine, as bruzzes said, listen for the fan to crank up super fast, then you know your temps are getting kind of high. You can always combat that with setting the manual fan speed up a few notches.

Yes, at least the 4800s were good up to 100C. These should be fine at least up to that point. Are the fans running at high speed?
