5850's in Crossfire...

so im getting 2 ati (xfx) 5850's one as soon as it comes available on newegg, and another in december, i just want to clear some questions before hand, each card im assuming comes with a crossfire bridge (2 cards = 2 crossfire bridges), so i need to use both to run crossfire right? and will the crossfire bridge fit from the 1 pcie 2.0 slot to the 2nd pcie 2.0 slot (its the 5th slot on the motherboard, the first pcie2.0 slot is the 2nd slot on the motherboard)

You will need just 1 crossfire bridge which will run from one card to the other.

thanks for the reply, i read somewhere (i believe it was a review) and it said something like, you need to use 2 crossfire bridges unlike SLI where you only need one, thanks for clearing that up

Some people use one, but the general rule is to use both bridges with crossfire. The typical bridges will span from PCIe 2 to 5.... same situation in this pic: http://www.tomshardware.com/gallery/HDD-mount,0101-224651-0----jpg-.html
