Which setup would be more beneficial?

5GB DDR2 667

4GB DDR2 800

easily recommend 4gb ddr2 800 so you can use dual channel, doubt you can get 3GB or 2.5GB dimms...

For the 5GB setup it would be

2GB x1 DDR2 667
1GB x3 DDR2 667
=5GB DDR2 667 in 4 slots

The 4GB setup would be

2GB x1 DDR2 800
1GB x2 DDR2 800
=4GB DDR2 800 in 3 slots

In that case, the 5gb ddr667 although your probably more likely to come across compatability issues that way

At the moment ive got

2x 1GB DDR2 800
2x 1GB DDR2 667

so 4GB running at 667 taking up all 4 slots

In that case just keep what you have atm... the money spent on a upgrade is better spent on other things like new GPU or something
