I heard windows 7 has a clause now where system builders are now only people who sell the computer. Does the old clause where anyone who puts together a system is a system builder still apply to operating systems before windows 7?
Basically Windows like to screw its costumers over and say that you are breaking the EULA if you do not count as a system builder >_>

Reason I ask is I spent too much on my new build and dont have 150+ dollars to fork out for windows 7 right now, and i see dirt cheap copies of windows XP on ebay, but most of them are OEM.

Am I to also assume OEM versions of windows do not come in a box?

Using OEM keys for personal builds has always been a grey area, and still is. You won't get sued for using a key like that, but keep in mind the restrictions about moving license to another PC, support, etc...

I've never felt guilty about using OEM keys for my own computers.
