Does all data reside on the hard disk?

Hello,
I want to use a new PC and want the applications,data and every docs from my Old PC to be transferred to my new system.if i just take the hard disk from the old pc and replace the hard disk of the new pc with it,will i be having all the data,softwares and docs in my new PC?...or will any data remain in my old pc?...pleease help...thanks in advance.

Firstly, you cannot take that HD and put it into new PC and expect to use it as the primary drive to startup the system. You can insert it the new computer as a secondary / slave drive and access your data. The applications you will have to reinstall.
