and this power supply

Will fit/work properly with my computer - Hp a6622f.

I have read about being careful about making things will fit and/or work together, and honestly I am a hardware noob! I am moderate computer user though, so I am not a complete noob I know a lot about computer related stuff but I have never installed a video card/power supply in a computer before.

Do you all think this will work?
And if so, do you think I could do it myself with a little effort?

Thanks in advance for responses!

Just to clarify that PSU is the same one that you got from newegg.
This video card will blow hot air out of the case, costs less and has double limited lifetime warranty.

Assuming that It is not a "slimline" PC then The new power supply is just a bit longer (35mm) than the old one, meaning that you can almost definitely put it in.

You dont need anywhere near that much power for a 4850, this PSU will provide plenty of power and is modular which is helpful in cramped HP cases

Get the 512mb version of the 4850...it can't use 1GB unless you put two of them in Sli for higher resolutions.

Or you can get the 4870 (4870/GTX260 and above are the cards powerful enough to use 1GB of RAM by themselves)

Here is a 512mb 4870 that is more powerful than the 4850 yet around the same price.
