hello. im new to this forum and i wanna to ask which one will be better in gaming? and i want to ask how much fps when running crysis, gta 4 with (HD4770 or HD4850) in E5200 2.5ghz, 2GB DDR2 800mhz and ASROCK G31M-S mobo.

Power Color HD4770 512MB GDDR5
OR
XFX HD4850 512MB GDDR3

the 4850 is a tiny bit faster, but also uses a fair bit more power generating more heat, however it also comes with a dual slot cooler, if they are the same price i would go for the 4850. I can run crysis smoothly on high at 1280x1024 with my 4850 but you may encounter a CPU bottleneck with the E5200

The 4850 is a bit stronger, but the 4770 is a newer 40nm technology which should be more efficient. XFX has a nice warranty if you ever want to resell the card. I like the double slot cooler of the XFX better because it exhausts the heat from your case instead of letting it recirculate and making the case fans do the job.

You might also want to consider 4gb, ram is cheap. Here is a reason:

Even if there is a bottleneck it's going to be pretty small. Maybe 5%?
