I'm just building a system for someone with a £430 budget and I originally suggested the x3 705E with 6mb of L3, but is it worth the extra £20 for one less core compared to the Athlon II 620?
They asked for a quad core and mentioned the phenom 1 x4 9850be.
i mean, the stats and benchmarking looks pretty conclusive, is their any point in the phenom 1's any more? With the price of the Athlon II so low, and amd's best cpu's starting at 130, phenom 1's are pretty useless now.
As their budget is low, I thought the best price to performance goes with the x3, but if they're not bothered with o.c too much but def wana play games (ATi 4770) which would be the best cpu?
Cheers for the help....
