When im browsing/youtubing my idle temperature is 60 degrees C. Is this a bit high or normal. Im using windows 7 beta by the way if that matters.

Specs are: Corsair 400w psu, core2duo e7500, bfg 9800 gt (ecointelligence), 2 gigs corsair ram, and a generic dvd drive.

60 degrees is ok. I'm not sure exactly what the 'ecointelligence' is, but I'm guessing it draws less power than the normal 9800 GT does.

I have nearly the same PC as yours.

Mine goes upto 57c at idle...
Yours is normal.

Mine too ideal at around 57C. But would suggest check the minimum power required for the card, 400W should be minimum, but check on the internet on load how much its taking out of the PSU.

i think that idle temp is ok. depending how well your case airflow you may be able to make your card run more cooler when idle by adding more fans to your case. :)

That PSU is more than enough for that card... :sarcastic:

I just bought this EcoIntelligence card myself because my xfx 9800 gt memory went bad. I thought well hey how is it this card uses less watts from the power supply. So I compared my old 9800 gt with the new EcoIntelligence 9800 gt to learn that. My old 9800 gt had a gpu speed of 600 mhz. My new 9800 gt EcoIntelligence is 550 mhz.
