My Windows desktop (XP SP3) has corrupted three different boot drives. What is most unusual is that it will run fine, but then if I power down it will not reboot when warm, but dies during Windows loading.
Occasionally a later cold boot would work, with perhaps a chkdsk. However, over time, the HDD becomes completely corrupted and "unrecoverable". This has happened to 2 SATA and 1 IDE drive.
A memory check indicates no problems. What should I check next: power supply, mobo, video controller?
Many Thanks... Karl
