Is the 6850 worth it?

Solution

+1, its needed for 1080p. even with the 6850 at 1080p you will be dropping some detail settings/turning down AA in some games.

i have it. I play BF3 high settings 1920x1080 @ around 30-70fps. Never got under 30, and it actually runs pretty smoothly at 30 compared to other games i ran at 30 before (with my old GPU).

Planning to crossfire it :)

This technology allows up to four GPUs to be used in a single computer to improve graphics performance.
If your videocard and motherboard supports it of course. :D
