To add or not to add Ram

Windows 7 /64
Would 6 gb DDR2 /667 ram in single channel be better for gaming than
4gb DDR2 dual channel 800 ? I have an Abit MB thats a couple years old
and one of the four memory slots seems to be bad , but everything else works
great , so should I just leave it at 4gb ddr2 800 , or add this 2 gb ddr2 667
single channel stick of ram to give me 6gb total ?
