I'm very new to current PCs (have iMac and Macbook at home) -- bought a Dell for my kids' game software - educational games that are for XP/Vista. We have Vista and a 20-inch widescreen monitor.

My question is how to get the kids' games to show up better on the display. All game windows open with an approximate 2-inch gap at the bottom of the display screen, and about 2-inches are not displayed at the top of the game window, therefore cutting off the top 2 inches of the game screen.

What in the world should I do to make these games - Jumpstart Preschool, etc. -- show up on the monitor better?

Make sure the game is set to run in fullscreen, not a window.
