CD-R Loss of data

Have had a number of CD-R pictures disappear from the discs. It is a CD with capacity of 700mb and it disapplies i.e. 58 mb. All of the other i.e. 642mb have disappeared.

Also, sometimes the available memory for another CD-R is being noted as 0 bytes - not mb.

Is all lost? Can anything be done to retrieve these?

Have you tried looking at those in another drive, or computer ?

Something AIN't Right !

Tried the CDs on another computer - same problem. Nothing appears by trying to go into my C drive or E drive. Tried retrieving through a program - Recuva - but it does not allow capability to be specific to the CD.

1 - Insert the media and bring up disk management. Things look normal, file system, healthy status etc.

2 - Try copying CD to hard drive & check properties.

3 - When you recorded the CD-R, did you finalize it ? If not, it can be erased and or overwritten, which I think is what has happened.
