Low FPS in 3dmark test but over 95 FPS on RE5

Hello I just built my first system, im proud of it, but having an issue. I ran 3dmark vantage and it was running around like 15 fps...and really choppy. But when i load up Resident Evil 5 and run the benchmarks and the game it runs at anywhere from 75 up, (got 120 fps once) and not choppy at all. I have an Asus mainboard and Phenom ii 940 at 3.5ghz 24/7, gigabyte 9600 gt card (no overclock) 4 gb Ballistix 800mhz running 4-4-4-12, please help me with this one, starting to think its a ploy to get me to upgrade 3dmark. All i bought was the "basic".

Its a problem on Vantages' side. Your hardware is fine. Same thing happened with my Phenom 9600 processor, cept it gave me BSOD when i ran it No more problems with my Phenom IIx4 940@ 3.9 ghz with Zalman 9900 Cooler!

I was thinking it was okay on my end, i just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. Thanks for the response! I was getting bsods with this one too, but i figured out i had to up my voltage at 3500 mhz, and on my NB and no more trouble since. ima noobie at this but ima quick learner. Thanks again.
