External DVD Drive?

Hey
Is it possible to open an external LG 18X Lightscribe DVD Drive and then make it an internal drive like the external hard drives. Sorry for the noob question, but ti would be handy to not have to rip the drive apart if it can't be done! Thanks

The drive is no different than any other internal drive, it just has a case and adapter attached inside of it. Whether or not it is IDE or SATA may not be apparent until you open it though. Not sure how to determine that before hand, I'm sure it can be done though.
