How to recover a removable hard disk

my hard drive cannot be seen by the PC.

Is this a new drive and never been used before? If so, you need to go into disk management and initialize the drive.

Right click on my computer and select manage. Left click disk management in the left pane. Right click on the new drive and select initialize.
