Nearly finished installing this behemoth of a heat sink.

The instructions say 'connect fans to the mainboard's owm signal'

I thought I'd ask just to be safe- am i good connecting the fans to cpufan1 on my motherboard?

Solution
PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation. Basically, it's a 4-wire fan that allows for both speed monitoring and speed adjustment. As you've already noted fans like this are usually used on CPU heatsinks (and GPU's) and it will connect to the 4-pin CPU header on your motherboard.
