Motherboard and Vid Card Compatability

Will my motherboard run this card? The card is Galaxy - NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card and my motherboard is a (Socket AM2)GigaByte GA-M57SLI-S4 nForce 570-SLI Chipset DDR2/800 SATA RAID PCI-Express MBoard w/GbLAN,IEEE1394,USB2.0,&7.1Audio with Socket AM2) AMD Athlon(TM)64 X2 5000 Dual-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology that is the processor. I have a 1000 watt power supply and 4 gigs of ram.

your board can,
but remember that the board has a PCIe 1.0 connection where as the GPU is 2.0
so it won't run @ its full potential...
but its not a huge difference

No current GPU can truly max out a 16x PCIe 1.x connection and the GTS 250 is far from the most powerful.
There will be no bottleneck, everything will work just fine.
