Does ddr2 works with a8v vm se?

Hi, I am having ddr 400 ram on asus a8v vm se, now i want to upgrade my memory to ddr2(1or2GB).. does it work on my mother board? pls suggest me

nope, you have to buy DDR memory if you want more, DDR2 and DDR3 will not even fit into DDR slots

i suggest waiting to get a new computer as i am assuming that is S939 which doesn't have much of an upgrade path anymore

barring that, get the same speed and voltage memory (as close as possible)
probably DDR400 2.6v memory

sadly no ,ddr & ddr2 are not socket compatible but there are some ddr memory out there for a great price:

thnx for ur suggestions.. if i put ddr 400 (1gb) memory, that will work with my present 512mb ddr 400?
