Is 1 GB ram and a 512 mb ram possible for my mobo?

my mobo is MSI MS-7222 version 2 and I want to know if 1 GB ram and a 512 mb ram can be install on my mobo and still can be read my my mobo as 1 gb and 512 mb because I heard that some mobo won't allow mismatch of ram.
