How to get microsoft word to work on your laptop

I have entered the product key from the bottom of my laptop but it is saying that it is incorrect. can you help please ? you can email me on - jodiej5850@yahoo.co.uk

The product key for word should be on the disk package somewhere. The product key on your computer is for windows.

What if you dont have the disk how do you go about it then.

If you had a downlaodable version of the software, the key would have been emailed to you upon purchase.

If you don't have the disk or an email, you will need to contact microsoft and prove that you own a legal copy of microsoft office.

Buy the Office program, you'll get the key. If you already have it installed on your computer, it's just a demo that you need to purchase. Many computer vendors install a trial version of Office these days.

Or try OpenOffice it's free and works about the same as MS Word.

You can also use libre office for free. It's an offshoot of open office but since it's not owned by oracle it's guaranteed to remain free.
