New and need help picking parts

Hey everybody I'm trying to figure out the best set up for doing video editing at home. I havent bought any parts except for the case yet.http://www.frys.com/product/5520150?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
The main problems/questions are my 60" hdtv is my moniter, I dont really care about getting 1080p out of the system (though it would be nice) my main concern is ofcourse speed. Just like everyone else I'm kinda broke most of the time but I entend to try and buy most of the parts the next 2 weeks or so and then more again on next paycheck. I'm trying to stay around $750 or so but if I can get it done for less that would be great, but then again if I really need to upgrade something and I can I will. This is the basic list I got for now.
Frys is the closest place to me and I just trarted working there... discount isnt much if any but everything helps!

I have 7 hard drives...the reason I picked this case.

How many of those hard drives are you actually intending to use?

6 1 for the OS and the others for storage. 4 are external now, just want to clean it and speed it up.
