P7450 vs t9300

I currently have a asus g50vt-x5 with a p740(2.13 ghz, 1066fsb 3mb cache) processor with 4gb of ddr2 800mhz ram and a 9800m Gs vid card.

I also have a t9300(2.5ghz, 800mhz fsb 6mb cache) processor sitting around and was wondering if the t9300 would be better despite the lower fsb?

Your ram runs at 800MHz so there would be no difference you would notice with your FSB. The t9300 will perform better. The thermal design power and voltage requirements of the P7450 are lower though, so expect higher temperatures and power consumption if you upgrade to the t9300.
