during boot, monitor works and shows all info, but only for about 2 sec. then goes black screen, if you turn monitor off and back on shows current stuff again for 2 sec. then goes black again. tried on different computer and the same thing. I'm lost.

this was done on dell laptop and non-dell desktop. but this is a dell monitor.

Hello there,


from how you describe the problem you are having. It sounds almost like a Backlight problem. How old and or what model number is the monitor that you have? I know Some of the Dells that came out in the last few years (the cheaper ones) have had alot of issues with them.
