If your approximate purchase date is still 3 months away... You shouldn't be picking out parts yet. Prices will change a lot and available hardware will change a lot as well.

What monitor resolution you upgrading to? There's no point getting 5xxx series, it'll be expensive, just get 4870 or 4890 and price will drop for it probably.

As far as GPUs, ATI and Nvidia both have new models coming out next year ETA is still unknown though.
If you do happen to plan on Crossfire or Sli at some point..
For Sli just judging from the holiday price drops I would suggest getting the GTX 275 model atm. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130475&cm_re=gtx_275-_-14-130-475-_-Product as far as I can tell they do produce some heat but great power & quality overall.
Crossfire would be 4870's to be honest 90's really aren't a huge step above the 40-50 value but if you had the extra cash to spend then go with the 90's. Above all else.. if you enjoy to OC gpu's Nvidia cards are stronger on this point.
Corsair PSU's are quality made. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007&Tpk=corsair%201000 That is you need that much juice if you do plan to OC + sli / crossfire. Corsair always delivers on rebates also if you don't mind waiting about 3-4 months.
